Mom and Daughter love
A few months back, I had the opportunity to photograph a mother/daughter trip. The story begins on Facebook, yes on Facebook! We met on a group through a trading post where Kendra and I exchanged services. She has an amazing business where she teaches people how to get into real estate.
So, months after our little trade work, Kendra contacted me to document hers and her mom's annual trip. This year they traveled to Arizona and Kendra wanted to surprise her mom with a fun/different way to document their vacation.
I followed Kendra and her mom for two-ish days in Phoenix Arizona and I had so so so much fun documenting their love.
The fun thing about documentary sessions is that I get to learn so much about their family and I get to photograph them in their essence. After spending so many hours together, they get so comfortable with me that they forget I'm there.
Kendra and her mom received both an album with their photos and their reaction and comments about the photos remind me why I do what I do
And this trip reminds me why I photograph these moments, the unedited, the unposed, the real and the raw. The emotional and the fun ones. Being able to capture these moments for my clients and giving them a reminder about this moment in time is worth every second.
This is the type of storytelling that makes my heart sing.
