This week we had a wonderful interview with Roxanne Ocampo better known as Quetzal Mama. Roxanne is an award winning author, public speaker, blogger, and national college admissions expert. She began coaching students after helping her own children earn admission to every Ivy League campus and other highly selective campuses like Stanford, UCLA, USC, and Berkeley. Her non-profit program “Quetzal Mama Scholars” serves students in eight North San Diego County high school districts. She is a Doctoral Fellow at University of California at San Diego, researching “Undermatching” of California, Latina/o, high-performing, low-income, first generation high school students.
Roxanne shared her story and amazing tips for upcoming college students and anyone who is thinking about applying to Ivy League schools.
