Let’s face it, we are all tired of this chronic procrastination.
We have a lot of distractions that give our brain dopamine release and the truth is, if feels ah so good.
A 35 year study found that there are four mechanisms to get things done and accomplish goals:
Commitment
Importance
Self-efficacy
Feedback
Many times procrastinators present with lower self esteem (insert lack of self efficacy), higher levels of anxiety, and overwhelm so they look to do things they actually feel like they can get done.
Procrastination is a coping mechanism because your body wants to feel good. It’s part of being human.
Another study found that chronic procrastinators have a larger amygdala. The amygdala is the part of your brain in charge of your fight or flight response.
I think we can combat the chronic procrastination by bringing regulation into our nervous system using EFT.
I have done it, and you can do it too.
We can absolutely get things done and accomplish all we want. The first step is to regulate our internal nervous system and give peace to our highly activated amygdala.
EFT, also known as tapping is a self-help tool rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, neurolinguistic programming, and energy psychology.
Tapping is good food for your nervous system.
Join me for five days of tapping to reduce the activation and regulate our nervous system so you can finally feel like you’re getting things done with ease.
